National Debt

America is over $36 trillion in debt, and Washington acts like the bill will never come due. Every reckless spending package, every bloated bureaucracy, and every unfunded promise digs the hole deeper – and it’s our children and grandchildren who will be forced to pay for it.

This isn’t just bad policy – it’s a national security threat and a moral failure. We cannot be a strong nation if we are drowning in debt.

As your Congressman, I will:

  • Fight to balance the budget and rein in out-of-control federal spending.
  • Support a constitutional amendment for a balanced budget – just like Tennessee families and businesses do every day.
  • Audit wasteful programs and eliminate those that serve no purpose but to grow the government.
  • Oppose blank-check spending deals that fuel inflation and bury us in interest payments.
  • Promote pro-growth tax policies that increase revenue the right way – by growing the economy, not raising taxes.

We must stop treating the national debt like someone else’s problem – it’s our responsibility. If we don’t act now, we risk destroying the American Dream for the next generation.

Fiscal discipline isn’t extreme – it’s common sense. And it’s long overdue.
